Re-average temperature

I have several temperature sensors in the same room. Both the smoke detector, the door sensor and the Danfoss wall thermostat record the temperature. It appears that the app calculates averages of these. The correct thing would be if the room thermostat is used to sense and control the temperature. It's the one people in the room relate to when they want to control the temperature without using the app.

Is this still not completed? Any idea on when proper temperatures can be shown in the app, that is not an average? Simply add a setting on the thermometer "include in average"...

Yes, what is going on? I added 4 sensors, downstairs, upstairs, pool and garage. On the start page I get an average of this. There is a tickbox "use as primary" but I don't understand what that does? Why not a tickbox wether or not I want to incude the tempsensor in the household average?

Snåla Grisen: you use the "use as primary" for devices with several temp sensors. Like the heatit z-trm3 which has 4 sensors. Depending on your need and setup you can select the correct sensor. Neat feature in itself, but the issue still stands and I am so happy to see it progressing!

Torbjørn Nilsen: As for z-trm3 channels are used. But the 'Use as primary' I believe is only tagging which sensor data should be sent to external systems, and has no effect in FH's internal use?

Øystein Kleppestrand: Yes and no. You can use the temp from e.g. channel 1 for ambient sensor, and channel 4 for floor sensor. Where channel 1 can be used to external systems and channel 4 is controlled by the thermostat itself. Like if you have a bathroom with the thermostat mounted outside of the bathroom you get the temp for the room the thermostat is in, as well as controlling the cables in the bathroom next door with the floor sensor. So, two primary sensors with two temperatures in FH climate tab.

Agree with this one. I have water-borne heat and several temp sensors in the same room, for ex smoke detector, thermostat (the one I want to control by) and multisensor. It is 3.5m below the ceiling and, accordingly, much warmer there than at the floor. That makes it almost useless to use futurehome to manage heat.

Any updates here? Espen Håland? In my case, it's just silly that the very high temperature of the smoke detector is used.

Problem with Elko Smart TR when thermostat is located outside the room and floor sensor should be used as temperature sensor. As of now, FH takes the cross-section temperature of the integrated sensor and the floor sensor, this becomes incorrect when these are placed in different rooms. It should be possible to manage this in the app.

Steffen Skoglund: It is possible to place the integrated sensor in another room in the app, as the temperature in the display/calculation is not used for the room you want to control.

See that it has now appeared “Select as main sensor” under settings, but I can't see that it changes any things in practice.
In my head, “Select as main sensor” should mean that only the selected sensor (s) are used for control and temperature display.

Anders Sanne: It doesn't change anything in the app really. It selects which sensor applies in the API. This in order to e.g. Tibber should know which sensor to use.

Anders Sanne: If managed via the API, the answer is yes. A thermostat can have multiple temp sensors, so that e.g. In order for Tibber to know which sensor to use, one of them must be selected as the main sensor. Thus, only this sensor on the device is exposed in the API.

Telia seems to simply give a ?$#@$ about correcting something that I can't with my best will, understand can be particularly complicated to solve. They're not even in Review mode. Por que?
